Who is Zeb Bangash?
Zebbunisa Bangash is a critically acclaimed Pakistani vocalist known for her ethereal voice and distinctive blend of folk, Sufi and contemporary sounds.
She performs in multiple languages including Urdu, Pashto, Persian (Dari), Turkish, Punjabi and Saraiki.
She first rose to fame as half of the acclaimed duo Zeb and Haniya with her late cousin Haniya Aslam. Their 2008 debut album Chup gained international recognition.
Zeb is the first Pakistani artist to serve as a music director for a Bollywood film, Lipstick Under My Burkha (2016). Her playback singing has been featured in several Bollywood hits like Madras Cafe, Highway and Fitoor.
After the duo parted ways, Zeb stepped confidently into a solo career and gave a number of hits, most notably contributing to movies like Ho Mann Jahan with "Man Ke Jahan Mein" and Bin Roye with "Maula Maula". She is also a frequent performer on Coke Studio Pakistan, with popular tracks like "Paimona", "Dilruba Na Raazi", "Mehman" and many more.
Some of her major hits and my personal favourites are
Dil Pagla
Dil Ki Baat
Aja Re Morey Saiyan
Paimona
Dilruba Na Razi
Bibi Sanem Janem
Diyar e Dil
Ek Thi Mariam
I'm so excited to work on one of her songs from music video and i cant wait for the final product.
